I chanced upon your blog by reading your mother's blog and I have enjoyed both so very much. What a wonderful tribute you have written to your mother! It did make me cry. You are such a wonderful writer and have such a way with words, also. The poem is beautiful. How very proud of you she must be!
Thank you for a great read.

Hey Beth, pass that tissue box over here. What a fantastic kid you have......and what a fantastic Mama.

And yep, humor gets you through life even when it's spanking you again and again. I think it is a mark of true grit. Shannon

My sweet, sweet babygirl,
I'm don't know that I deserve such a glowing tribute, but I am so grateful for it. I have now read it approximately twenty-seven times and gone through half a box of Kleenex and here I am reading it again. And I am sure that I will come back to it over and over again, especially when I have one of those days when the world chews me up and spits me back out again. Your words will sustain me.
And you sustain me. You and Benjamin. I am so richly blessed to be your Mommy and to have birthed you into the light--to have given you to the light. And I hope you will always let your light shine as it does now. I am so glad to know that, no matter how far you wander, our minds, hearts, and spirits will always be intertwined.
I love you and treasure you and always will.
